PenBen Corporate Health & Wellness
OVERVIEW
Adam DeVone, PenBen’s President and Founder recently announced the addition of AC Green to head up its newly created Corporate Wellness Division. “Who else exemplifies the
goals of corporate wellness then AC Green who today still owns the NBA Ironman Title, having played in 1,192 straight games? (View A.C. Green's bio). “Having someone of AC’s stature, accomplishment, character and expertise join PenBen - is a terrific validation of our company and programs”.
DeVone further stated that “Employers have been hard hit by the soaring costs of providing employees with health care benefits. Recent studies have indicated that on average almost 50% of corporate profits now go for health care costs versus only 7% three decades ago.
Because of this, employers are now actively seeking new ways to reduce health care costs without jeopardizing their ability to attract and retain workers. These factors have prompted many organizations to assume proactive positions on the issue of health promotion and wellness at the work-site.
According to AC “from a management perspective, wellness programs have the potential to decrease absenteeism, reduce medical claims costs, and improve employee productivity, recruitment, and retention.”
AC believes that “Health coaching is a natural fit for me, a collaborative and personalized program that focuses on improving health and wellness. I look forward to working with our clients in establishing effective wellness programs for their employees.”
